Gresham, Ore. -- The Gresham GreyWolves and Port Angeles Lefties have decided to cancel Thursday night's game due to poor air quality in the Gresham area.
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, the air quality in Gresham is inside the "very unhealthy" range as a result of numerous fires in British Columbia, Canada.
Much of the West Coast League has been affected by the smoke from the fires. The Wenatchee AppleSox and Corvallis Knights moved the teams' three-game series from Wenatchee, Washington to Corvallis, Oregon after postponing both games one and two of the series. The teams are playing a double-header on Thursday.
Gresham and Port Angeles will not make up Thursday's game. The final game of the series, and season, is sheduled for 6:35 p.m. on Friday at Oslund Field.
